Lewis Charles Montgomery, 81, was born on December 6, 1926 to the late Jeremiah and Minnie Montgomery in Florence, NC. Lewis received his formal education in the Fayetteville school system. As time passed he relocated to White Plains, NY. He was emmployed by the city for many years. Upon his retirement he returned south and settled in Fayetteville, NC. He made this his home until the Lord called him to his heavenly home on November 13, 2007, after a long illness. Lewis accepted Christ as his personal savior and joined Helen Street Church of Christ.
He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Charles of Fayetteville; Donald and Benjamin both of White Plains, NY; three daughters, Julie of Mt. Vernon, NY; Flora of Yonkers, NY; and Francene of Buena Vista, GA; two brothers, six sisters, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
