Leta Ann (Eiler) Hallatt died at I.U. Ball Hospital in Muncie on April 3, 2016, and has made the journey to Eternal Glory, by way of her Savior and Lord, Christ Jesus. Leta was born in Fulton County, IN, on April 16, 1934, to Paul Austin and Nina J. (Sutton) Eiler.
She graduated from Rochester High School in Rochester and Anderson College, Anderson, then, moved to southern California. Leta married Donald W. Hallatt and enjoyed 54 years of marriage until Don’s passing in January 2014. They resided in California for 43 years before retiring in Anderson. Leta worked as an administrative assistant. She was a gifted artist and singer/musician. Leta loved to cook, mentor new Christians, and read. She loved all of God’s creations. She attended Mt. Olive Community Church in Muncie.
Leta is survived by nieces and nephews, Bonnie Wilhelm of Alexandria, Robert (Mary) Eiler II, Rochester, Rodney (Sherri) Eiler, Muncie, Kathleen (Rod) Pressel, Anderson, Randy (Jan) Fuller, Kokomo, and Diane Hallatt, Neosho, MO; sister, Elsie (John) Fuller, Anderson; many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Robert A. Eiler.
