Lester D. LaShombe, Jr., of Newington passed away peacefully at his home on Dec 10, 2020 with his wife Peggy at his side. He was born on October 1, 1937 to Lester LaShombe, Sr. and Frances (Henderson) LaShombe in Massena NY. He married Peggy (Welch) on May 29,1968 and they were together for 52 years. He served in the Air Force in the Pacific region. After completing his commitment to the Air Force, he got his Bachelor’s Degree from UCONN and went on to get his Master’s Degree at UNH. He worked in the finance field for many years until his retirement. Les and Peggy settled in Newington and spent some time at her family home in Biddeford Maine. Les was active in the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree. He was also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. After his retirement he worked in the Biddeford and Newington School districts as a substitute teacher. Lester is survived by his wife Peggy, sister-in-law RoseMarie and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Richard and his sisters Barbara and Phyllis.
