Lester “Bud” Frank Ambelang was born July 8, 1919 in Benton Township, Chariton and died peacefully October 14, 2014 at The Legacy Lodge with his wife of almost 66 years Colene by his side. He attended country school through 8th grade. He served in the Army during WW II. He married Twyla Colene Reid on October 16, 1948. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for over thirty years.
