Leslie E. McQueary, 77, Anderson, passed away July 5, 2009 at his residence. He was born January 8, 1932 in Russell Springs, Kentucky, and resided in Anderson since 1951. He retired from Nicholson File and had been the owner of Les’ Used Cars. He was a member of Center Faith Chapel. Les enjoyed fishing, gardening, bowling, playing pool and working on cars.
He is survived by his wife of 4 1/2 years, Shirley McQueary; daughter, Carolyn McCoy; siblings, Mary Belle McQueary Gosser Flanagan, Lenvil McQueary, Orvin Elbert McQueary, Flora McQueary Thompson Baker, Brenda McQueary Bray, Arvil Jay McQueary, Susie McQueary Burton and Raydean McQueary Lunsford; grandchildren, Sereisa Smith and Brian Smith; 191 nieces and nephews and special friends, Fred Mahaffey and Earl Phipps.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife of 52 years, Virtress McQueary; parents, Willis “Bouge” & Ollie Simpson McQueary; grandson, Monty Smith and siblings, Infant Lousier McQueary, Leonis McQueary, William McQueary and Mae McQueary West.
