GERRISH, Mr. Leslie E. “Les” Mattawan, MI Died Wednesday afternoon May 13, 2009. Les was born August 20, 1946 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Leslie E. and Gertrude Walker Gerrish, Jr. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Flowserve “Durametallic” for 32 years, retiring in 1998. Les enjoyed collecting baseball cards and sports memorabilia. He was a lifetime Tiger’s fan and also enjoyed the New York Yankees and the Chicago White Sox and Cubs.
Les was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Gerry Tank. On April 14, 1973, he was united in marriage to Joann M. Judycki Gerrish who survives. Also surviving, a son, Thomas E. Gerrish of Royal Oak, MI; a brother, David JoAnn Gerrish of Portage; 2 sisters, Linda Dennis Shearer of Kalamazoo and Lorraine Michael Scott of Centennial, CO; and several nieces and nephews.
