Leslie D. Hiatt, 54, of Muncie, passed away on February 10, 2015 at Community Hospital Anderson.
He was born on July 12, 1960 in Muncie, Indiana and resided most of his life in Muncie. Les graduated from Frankton High School in 1978. He was the owner/operator of Hiatt Tile. Also, Les was a SCUBA diving instructor for Tom Leaird’s Underwater Services. Les had a remarkable character and zest for life.
He was a loving son, brother, father, and friend. He enjoyed the outdoors, where he would hunt, fish, and go White Water rafting. He loved to ride his Harley, where he participated in numerous memorial rides. Les also had a passion for traveling which took him on many diving adventures in exotic places.
Les is survived by his loving daughters, Britney (Chris) Sollars of Indianapolis, Candace Hiatt of Indianapolis, and Danielle (Chris) Carnes of Gaston; grandsons, Brayden and Dylan; parents, Larry and Barbara (Parrish) Hiatt; and siblings, Phillip Hiatt, Richard (Penny) Hiatt, Steven (Tosha) Hiatt, Donald Hiatt, and Brendie Turner. Also surviving are several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; many aunts and uncles; sister-in-law, Sharon Hiatt; and nephew, Jordan Hiatt.
