EATON, INDIANA Leroy S. Gilland, 74, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009 in Eaton. The son of Leroy W. and Naomi (Bell )Gilland, he was born January 13, 1935 in Delaware County. He married Janice Holdren on April 18, 1953 in Jonesboro, Indiana. Her death occurred July 19, 1994. Leroy retired from New Venture Gear in January of 1991 and was a former member of the Elks Lodge in Dunkirk. He is survived by his children: Michael A (Wanda) Gilland, Albany, Vickie (Leslie) Green, Gaston, Valerie (Michael) Dalton, Muncie, Shirley (Brian) Kurtz, Gaston, Sheryl (Raymond) Grant, Eaton, Mark Gilland, Eaton, and Douglas Gilland, Royerton, 2 sisters, Mary Lou Osborne, Anderson, and June Milton, Portland, 21 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Janice, he was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Quentin Goetz.
