Leroy Jackson, better known as “Roy” or “Big Daddy,” made his earthly transition Sunday, May 20, 2018 at his Jackson, AL residence. Born February 12, 1956 to King David Sr. and Charity Bell Dees Jackson in Barlow Bend, AL, he was sixty two years of age. He was a member of the Barlow Bend United Faith Baptist Church in Barlow Bend, AL. Roy enjoyed riding horses, gardening, and hanging out with his friends; he never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, King David Sr. and Charity Bell Jackson; brother, Rev. King David Jackson, Jr.; and sisters, Mary Josephine Bell, Dorothy Mae Jackson, Ella Mae McGaster and Rosie Lee Montgomery.
Leroy leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Teanna Jackson, Choctaw Bluff, AL; son, Timothy Davis, Montgomery, AL; a host of step children; two brothers, Willie (Ethel) Jackson, Gainestown, AL and Claybon Jackson, Mobile, AL; four sisters, Jestine (James) Clarke, Claudia (J. C.) Rocker and Bernice Peoples, all of Barlow Bend, AL, and Fannie (Michael) White, Gainestown, AL; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
