LeRoy Brizendine, 83, Markleville, died February 16, 2004 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born August 15, 1920 in Hancock County, Indiana, and resided in Markleville, Indiana. He resided in this area all of his life.
He was retired from Delco Remy in 1980 after 39 years of service. Served his county in the U.S. Army as a Sargent in the South Pacific conflict from 1943-1946.
He enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was a member of UAW #662. He enjoyed all ball games.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dema Michael Brizendine. Sons: Michael & wife Lissette Brizendine of Orlando, Florida and Patrick Brizendine of San Diego, California. Brothers: Howard Brizendine of Florida and Raymond & wife Jane of Greenfield. Sisters: Betty & husband Barney Stine of Fountaintown, Glendora & husband Roger Beyers of Greenfield and Lola Spegal of Shirley. Grandchildren: Jeffrey & wife Lorilee Brizendine of Orlando, Florida and Scott Brizendine of Tampa, Florida. Great granddaughters: Kasey and Kara Brizendine of Orlando, Florida. Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Also special caregivers: Diane Keffer, Linda Henderson, Barbara Perry, Vickie Carlton and Southern Care Hospice.
He is preceded in death by his Parents: Chester and Eva Stohler Brizendine. Sister: Hazel McCord.
