Leonila Bertoldo Vidanes was born to the late Elias Bertoldo and Faustina Gutierez on April 3, 1944 in Quisao, Pililla, Rizal Philippines. Married to the late Maximo Berin Vidanes, they had five sons, and a daughter.
She migrated to the USA on April 22,1999 with the hopes of providing the American dream for her children and grandchildren. She lived in Santa Maria, California for nearly 15 years, and then moved to Oakland, California to spend her retirement with her daughter, sons, and their families that was able to migrate from the Philippines.
Inang Nila, as her daughter, sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren call her; worked for nearly 15 years as a caregiver before she retired in 2014 at the age of 70. She was able to help support her grandchildren through college, and as the giving person she was, continued to provide financially for her family even after she retired.
Inang Nila is survived by her brother Jay Bertoldo, and his family, her daughter Rosenda Vidanes, her sons and daughter in laws; George Vidanes and Susana Vidanes, Bennie Vidanes, Maximo Vidanes Jr and Lorna Vidanes, Ulpiano Vidanes and Lenny Vidanes, Jonathan Vidanes and Rowena Vidanes. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Marjorie Vidanes-Dolera and Chistian Dolera: Leona Dolera and Devan Dolera, Riza Vidanes: Lharz Maxine Vidanes-Chinchilla and Victoria Summer Vidanes-Tacleran, Brian Vidanes, Joan Vidanes-Wagan and John Louie Wagan, Josen Vidanes-Casale and Jebson Casale: Lucas Casale and Lorcan Casale, Jomar Vidanes and Queen Vidanes: Luciana Vidanes and Georgia Vidanes, Marlon Vidanes and Johndel Ann Vidanes, Johensen Vidanes and Cheeney Aina Zapata-Vidanes, Jane Marinelle Vidanes, Mikhail Hera, Jonh Rowie Vidanes, and Allen Vidanes.
Maximo, her loving husband, and Rizalito, their son preceded her in death.
