Leonard Nelson Smith, age 67 died Wednesday October 16, 2012 at his residence in Burlington City. Mr. Smith was born in Burlington and was a lifelong resident of Burlington and Edgewater Park. Leonard was retired from the Iron Workers Local 68 in Trenton. He had also worked for Iron Workers Local 410 in Philadelphia and Local 79 in Virginia. He enjoyed fishing, customizing motorcycles and collecting antique cars. He was predeceased by his father Paul Smith and his son Leonard Nelson Smith, Jr.
He is survived by his beloved mother Katherine (nee D’Elena) Guinness, his beloved daughter Sherri Lynn Smith-Evers, and his beloved grandson James F. Evers, Jr. He is also survived by his aunts Violet D’Elena Lucas and Marie D’Elena, his cousins who admired him; the Brenner’s, the Green’s, the Difilippo’s, the Saluka’s, the Seward’s and the D’Elena’s.
