Leonard C. Haecker, 92, rural Pickrell, NE, passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at his home. He was born March 9, 1925 on the family farm near Pickrell, NE. Leonard graduated from Clatonia High School and then served in the Army during the Korean War from February 1951 to February 1953. He married Audrey (Tholen) Fisser on October 9, 1954 at Christ Lutheran Church, Pickrell.
Survivors include by his wife, Audrey (Tholen) Haecker; children, David Fisser and wife Debbie of Highland Village, TX, Pat Ferl and husband Dennis of Monument, CO, Dean Fisser and wife Janet of Harbine, NE, Denise Haecker of Pickrell, and Kevin Haecker of Pickrell; grandchildren, Jennie Fisser, Dennis Jay Ferl Jr. and wife Faith, Rita Lee Mossie, Scott Sokolik and wife Erin, Becky Sokolik, Heidi Logan and husband Jason; great-grandchildren, Sadie Seibt and husband Nathan, Jayde Angus, Marissa Ferl, Seth Ferl, Riley Ferl, Chloe Ferl, Cooper Logan, Avery Logan, Quinn Logan, and Brennan Sokolik; great-great-granddaughter, Pippa Seibt.
Preceded in death by parents, William and Ella (Penterman) Haecker; brother, Melvin Haecker; sisters-in-law, Irene Haecker and Maime Haecker; niece, Judy Haecker and great-great-granddaughter, Emory Yael Seibt.
