Leonard C. Ziegler, 89, of Belvidere, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital Warren Campus. Born in Brooklyn, New York he was the son of the late Beatus and Johanna (Ortwein) Ziegler. Leonard was the husband of the late Judy (Damelio) Ziegler with whom he shared 65 years of marriage. Leonard honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Chapter 14 of the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology, the Archaeological Society of New Jersey, Eastern States Archaeological Federation, Musconetcong Watershed Association and the past commander of the American Legion Post 379.
Survivors: Leonard will be lovingly remembered by his children, Pence Ziegler and his wife Joan of Broadway, NJ, Gary Ziegler and his wife Diana of Belvidere and Laura Rader and her husband David A. of Belvidere; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Leonard is preceded in death by his sisters, Florence Rishway and Antonia Keller and his brother, Edmond Ziegler.
