Mrs. Leona “Tootie” Siekman, 87, of Rising Sun, IN. passed away at 3:30 AM, Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 at The Waters of Rising Sun. She was the widow of Lawrence F. Siekman. Mr. & Mrs. Siekman were married on February 27, 1943. Leona was born in Hebron, KY on March 27, 1922, the daughter of the late William F. and Mattie (York) Kruse.
Leona is survived by two sons Lawrence Dale Siekman of Rising Sun, IN; , Jeffery Alan Siekman (Sharon) of Rising Sun, IN. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Wayne Siekman of Rising Sun, In, Billy Siekman of Alabama, Amy Bovard of Rising Sun, IN, Jill Siekman of Alexandria, KY, Julie Price of Rising Sun, IN and Carrie Fisk of Rising Sun, IN. Leona is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded by an infant daughter, Judith Carol Siekman, and by 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
