Leon Vaughn aka “Tanker” or “Judge” of Dutch Creek, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in his home in Dutch Creek, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. Tanker was born April 29, 1931 in Freedom Creek to James Walter “Sonny” Vaughn and Myrtle Pearlee (Owens) Vaughn. He was 83 years, 6 months and 20 days old, and of Premitivie Baptist faith.
Tanker spent his life in the woods. From peeling poles to skidding logs with a mule. He loved the woods and outdoors, along with a good-hunting dog, and messing with bees. He loved everything from a good hunt, to working with his mule plowing a garden, to playing music with the guitar and fiddle. It could even be said that from time to time, Tanker enjoyed a good old-fashioned western. Even though Tanker enjoyed various activities, his most precious time was those moments he spent with family.
