Leon Kush, 86, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2006, in Hospice House, South Bend.
Leon was born on April 14, 1919, in South Bend, to the late Stanley and Katherine (Pyzdyk) Kush. On September 25, 1948, in South Bend, he married Lucille Stankiewicz, who preceded him in death on July 2, 1982. Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Dean and Alice Kush, and three brothers, Al, Walter and Henry Kush.
Mr. Kush is survived by his two daughters, Patricia (Thomas) Jackowiak and Carol Lee (Dale) Kusmiez both of South Bend; his son, David (Linda) Kush of South Bend; five grandchildren, Dale Jr., Brad, Carrie, Kevin and a special granddaughter, Lisa; by his sister, Jean (Casey) Slott of South Bend, and by his little angel, Brielle Hall.
Leon worked as an inspector for Bendix Corporation for 34 years, before retiring in 1986.
He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII, a parishioner of St. Stanislaus B. M. Catholic Church, South Bend and a member of the V.F.W. Post # 8748.
