On February 5, 2022, Leon F. Bourgeois passed away peacefully after an almost twenty year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was 70 years old.
Leon grew up in Houma, LA. He graduated from Terrebonne High School and Nichols State University. Leon played basketball for Terrebonne High and was a coach of youth basketball and baseball for a number of years for the Houma Athletic Recreation Council (HARC). Leon was employed by Bell South for several years. While living in New Orleans, Leon worked for Macy’s and donated his time to Catholic Charities.
