Leo Edward Russell of Plymouth, formerly of Medford, passed away at home on December 4, 2019 at the age of seventy-two. He was the beloved brother of Patricia MacIsaac and her husband Martin Lahue of Plymouth, Frances Russell of Duxbury and the late Michael, Regina and Marianne Russell. He was the loving Uncle to Dean MacIsaac and Sean MacIsaac and his wife Brenda. He also leaves many great nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his girlfriend, Maria Digiambattista. Leo was born on December 1, 1947 in Medford to Leo and Elizabeth (Mullane) Russell. He graduated from Medford High School and immediately enlisted in the United States Army. Upon Leo’s honorable discharge from serving our country, he went on to work as an Electronic Technician for Raytheon. While at Raytheon, one of his tasks was working on the the Patriot Missile. Leo attended Bentley College where he received an Associates Degree in Environmental Studies. Leo enjoyed sports and was a fan of all the New England teams. He also, enjoyed visiting the Plymouth Waterfront with his sister Fran. He will be known for his great sense of humor, caring and thoughtful nature. Leo loved his family with all his heart and he will be dearly missed.
