WALLINGFORD – Lenore (Pochini) Smail 91, of Wallingford, beloved wife of the late Richard “Dick” Smail, departed this life peacefully on March 14, 2011 at Ashlar Village.
Lenore was born on May 29, 1919 in Stafford, CT daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Pochini. On March 16, 1943 she married Richard and they spent over 66 years of marriage together. She was a veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Navy as a Yeoman Officer 1st Class.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Sara Barnes of Wallingford. She also leaves a sister Josephine Hiakara of Vermont, in addition to three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
