Passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the age of 91. Born January 8, 1929 in Kalamazoo to Henry and Bertha (Balkema) Glas. She worked at WMU as a registrar’s office clerk and prior to that, was employed at Cork Lane D&C for 28 yrs.
Lena was a member of Grace Christian Reformed Church and enjoyed bowling, knitting, volunteering at 2nd Impressions, and adored dogs. Surviving are five children; Jimmy (Brenda) Hartman, Thomas (Lynn) Hartman, Richard (Terri) Hartman, Susan (Dan) Slager, Betty Luchies; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Russ Luchies, brother and sister-in-law John (Lucille) Glas, and sister and brother-in-law Grace (Henry) Vandestreek.
