Lelia H. Bowers (nee Heal), of Burlington Township, died Thursday, July 28th at her residence, she was 81 years of age. Born in Edgewater Park on January 18, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Isabelle Heal. An area resident all her life, Lelia was a graduate of Burlington City High School.
A member of the Beverly Presbyterian Church, she had also been a member of the Beverly Maqueda Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, and was a former member of the Burlington County Country Club. Lelia, and her late husband Donald, traveled extensively, she also enjoyed time spent down on Long Beach Island and she loved to swim. In addition to her late husband Donald, she was predeceased by her brother Charles Heal.
Lelia is survived by a family of friends as well as her nephew: Charles Heal, Jr., and her niece Pat Myers.
