Lela Bayrene Sylvia, 95 of Nutter Fort, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Haleville, WV on April 3, 1915, daughter of the late Harvey Goff and Bertha Primm Clem. Mrs. Sylvia was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards, cooking, gardening and was the social hub for family and friends. She was a member of Nutter Fort Union Mission Church. Mrs. Sylvia is survived by one son, Gilbert Sylvia, Seal Rock, OR; three grandchildren, Marche’ Messenger, George “Buddy” Welsh, and Nicole Sylvia; two great grandchildren, Roman and Lyric Messenger; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert J Sylvia Sr. in 1974; one son, Larry Morgan; one daughter, Pamela Welsh; four brothers, Charles “Bud”, John, Minter, and Robert; two sisters, Irene and Mary Jane.
