Lee C. Hull, Jr., 85, passed away peacefully with family on March 11, 2013, following a brief battle with cancer. Born February 11, 1928 in Kansas City, Mo., he joined the Navy to serve our country during WWII in Japan. Upon discharge, Lee received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy (Rolla).

Lee gained employment with the Space Program, first with Convair, and then with the NASA Space Program in 1964 as a Mechanical Engineer, working mostly on the Apollo program. He worked all 17 launches, and then worked on the Shuttle program, which included 3 years at Vandenberg AFB in California. He retired in 1994, after over 30 years of commitment and dedication.

He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge in Cocoa, the American Legion and served as Vice President of the Rock Pointe Condominium Association until 2013.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Lee C. Hull, Sr. and Louise Wells Hull He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Anne, his son, Peter (Virginia), his daughter, Louise Hull Ferguson (Port St. John) and his two granddaughters, Leann and Marissa Ferguson; brother, Wells (Missouri) and two nieces, Beth and Ann.

Lee will be forever remembered as a gentle giant, who always went out of his way for others. His tender heart, his warm smile, and his bear hugs will be forever missed.
