Lee Coombs, 85, a longtime resident of Nampa, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at his home. He was born on November 22, 1933 in Preston, Idaho, a son of Cecil and Gladys Coombs. He served two years in the Korean War and received an Honorable Discharge. He later met and married Karrol Harper Coombs on December 19, 1959. He had various jobs from butter maker at Meridian Creamery, working at Wyeth Laboratories, to his last and favorite job of driving truck for Dairymen’s.

He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved being with his family. He was always helping other. He will truly be missed by all that loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Coombs Perkins of Florida; a daughter Kara Lee Coombs of Nampa, ID; a son Jay Dee Coombs and daughter in law, Tam Allen Coombs of Wilder, ID; grandchildren, Toni VanSlyke, Chris VanSlyke, Britney Stokes, Andy Coombs, Brooke Stimpson, Bryce Armstrong and Lyndee Almarez; and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karroll Harper Coombs; his parents, Cecil and Gladys Coombs; two sisters, Jean and Silvia Joy; and three brothers, Dean, Clair Dee and Cecil J.
