Lee Allabaugh, peacefully passed away at the age of 94 in his Scottsdale home on May 31, 2015. By his side was his beloved wife of 59 ½ years, Velma. Lee was born Feb 15, 1921 to George and Tillie Allabaugh of Bay City, Michigan. He was the eldest and last surviving of four brothers. He served in the 2nd World War in the Pacific as a member of the U.S. Army. After the war, Lee returned to marry Velma Homan on September 10, 1955 of Athens, Michigan. In October of 1959, the couple and their 2 year old daughter, “The Apple of his Eye!”, Vickie moved out west to Scottsdale, AZ. Lee pursued a very successful career in the automobile and real estate sales industry.
He is survived by his wife, Velma, daughter Vickie Blevins of California, an adopted daughter Pat Olkowski and his two adored grandchildren Christopher and Jolynn Olkowski all of Gilbert. Lee is also loved and survived by numerous in laws.
Lee retired in 1987 and engaged in a full retirement. He enjoyed his favorite hobbies of gardening, hunting, fishing and especially being head of his family. He was truly loved and respected by all that knew him. He will be missed but we were all so bless to be part of his life and look forward to being with him again in eternity.
