Leamon V. “Lee” Holt, 74, of Elkhart, passed away at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011, at his residence.

He was born Oct. 13, 1936, in Trumann, Ark., to Ewing L. and Ifa D. (Freeman) Holt.

On Jan. 11, 1969, he married Rickie Sue (Roll) Holt in Elkhart and she survives. Other survivors include his son, Curtis Holt of Elkhart; two daughters, Leanne Hankins and Angela Geschke, both of Elkhart; a brother, Lester (Renate) Holt of Orange Park, Fla.; four sisters, Doris (Robert) Jewel of Elkhart, Mary Stevens of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Carolyn (Terry) Welles of Wakarusa and Darlene (Thomas) Ronzone of Elkhart; 11 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Donald “Pat” Holt; three sisters, Geraldine Taylor, Shirley Bieber and Lois Henson; and a brother, Willard Holt.

Lee served in the U.S. Air Force from April 1955 until December 1958. In 2006, he retired from Four Winds International after working there for 15 years and prior to that he worked for other various RV manufacturers.

Lee was an avid reader who also enjoyed fishing, watching television and spending time with his grandchildren.
