Leah Speich, 60, of Algona, passed away on May 12, 2017 at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Leah Diane Jenkinson, the daughter of Frank and Patricia (Witt) Jenkinson, was born on March 6, 1957 in Rock Island, Illinois. She graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 1976 and attended Iowa Lakes Community College. On June 26, 1982 Leah was united in marriage with Daryl Speich at First Lutheran Church in Algona. Leah enjoyed her dogs, crafting and needlework.
Left to cherish Leah’s memory is her husband of 34 years, Daryl; son, Anthony Speich of Algona; sisters, Rachel Jenkinson of Algona, Frances (Dean) Peters of Des Moines, Judy Enos of Algona, Maria Berg of Missouri, Sharon Jenkinson of Danbury, CT and Diana Jaber of Saudi Arabia; brothers, Gary (Vicki) Jenkinson of Winchester, CA, Jim Jenkinson of Arkansas and John Jenkinson of Iowa; and father and mother-in-law, Bob and Karen Speich of Algona. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Denise Gronbach.
