Leah Heintz, 99, of Henderson, passed away January 8, 2013 in Brighton. She was born November 15, 1913 in Ft. Collins, CO to Alex and Mary (Hoff) Becker. She attended school in Lake Alice, NE near Scottsbluff and she later married David Heintz, Jr. on December 3, 1931 in Harrisburg, NE.
Leah has spent the last eight years in Brighton and the previous 30 years in Mesa, AZ. Prior to moving to Arizona, Leah lived for many years in Aurora where she owned and managed numerous apartment buildings.
Leah is survived by four children, Verhn (Marlene) Heintz of Henderson, Harlene (Ken) Hardt of Mesa, AZ, Richard (Anne) Heintz of Aurora and Dennis (Janet) Heintz of Franktown; brother, Gene Becker of Scottsbluff, NE; two sisters, Esther Marghien of Scottsbluff, NE and Dollie Deines of Longmont, CO; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David in 1989; her son, Farrel in 2007; three brothers and three sisters.
