Lawrence J. “Huntz” Hardenberg, 84, of Bethlehem died on Monday, November 17, 2014 in his home. He was the husband of the late Lucy C. (Rossi) Hardenberg who died in 2004. Born on March 18, 1930 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Lawrence K. and Anna (Schew) Hardenberg. He worked at Bethlehem Steel for many years in the Combustion Division until retiring. Larry served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fountain Hill, the Golden Hillers and American Legion Post 406. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid bowler having coached others for many years. Survivors: sons James J. of Allentown; Joseph F. and wife Teresa of Bethlehem; grandchildren Lindsay and Evan; sister Eleanor Burkhardt of MI; companion Shirley Reitbauer of Fountain Hill.
