Lawrence (Bud) Howard Cline age 71, of Nankin, died Wednesday November 16, 2011. He was born in Savannah on April 1, 1940, the son of Cornelius and Mary Edith (Christy) Cline. He had been a lifelong resident of Ashland County. He retired after 31 years from Ashland Rubber Products where he was a supervisor. Mr. Cline was a member of the Huron Co. Agricultural Heritage. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed muscle cars. He also enjoyed helping with Dixie’s Crafts.
On March 31, 1961 Bud married Dixie Leora (Coffman) Cline at the Savannah Methodist Church. Also surviving are his sons, Randy (Sandy Lomax) Cline of Nova, Robert (Sandy) Cline of Nova; special friend, Joe Brown of Elyria; his grandchildren, Maria, Nathan, Chad, Barry, Cody, and Jimmy; his great grandchildren, Preston, Joshua, Eric and Kamden; his special nieces, Sue (Randy) Hoover, Malinda Meyer, along with his special nephew, David Meyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Violet Willis, Dorothy Oyster, Ethel Smith, Orpha Nelson; and his brothers, Ernest Cline and Paul Cline.
