Lawrence A. Maxwell, 99, Anderson, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 9, 2009 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus-Anderson. He was born September 25, 1910 in Montgomery County, Indiana. Lawrence lived in Darlington during school years and Anderson during his working years. He was a 1927 graduate of Darlington High School. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors.
He was a member of South Meridian Church of God and the UAW Local #662. Lawrence was a farm boy who loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his children, Carol Jim Arnold of Anderson, Brian Corinne Maxwell of Anderson, Daniel Maxwell of Hanover, New Mexico and Donna & Andy Hoffman of Mt. Zion, Illinois; grandchildren, Merrie Carol Arnold-Schultz, Christa Maxwell, Catherine Maxwell, Christopher Maxwell, Alex Hoffman and Mira Hoffman; great grandchildren, Michaela Maxwell and Jacob Schultz; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, N. Lucile Leslie Maxwell and eleven brothers and sisters.
