Died Sunday evening July 22, 2018 at her residence. Laurie was born November 4, 1961 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Robert and Sadie (Newkirk) Brown. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with Meijer’s for over 18 years.
Laurie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by 4 siblings, Vickie (Denny) Kosanke and Anna (Richard) Gerould all of Portage and Robert (Lori) Brown and Richard Brown all of Kalamazoo; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is also survived by Nicholas Mitchell her love and companion and his children. Debbie McMillian, Nichole (Freddie) Thames, Terry (Miranda) Burnette, The late Nicholas Mitchell Jr. Nathan (Lisa) Mitchell, Kim and Monica Mitchell, nine grandchildren and the late Nicholas J. Mitchell and Three great grandchildren.
