Details: Lauretta Calvert, 91, died Sept. 4 at the Chesapeake Future Care in Arnold. She was born May 4, 1924 in Pasadena to the late Roy and Grace Anna Brumwell. She was a 48 year resident of Pennsylvania formerly of Pasadena. Mrs. Calvert was a homemaker, she graduated from Glen Burnie High School in 1943. In Pa. she was a member of the First United Methodist of Media where she was active in the Womens Circle and doing volunteer work, and a former member of the C.C. Hancock Memorial United Methodist Church. In Md. she was a former member of Community United Methodist Church. She was active in Girl Scouts and enjoyed flower gardening and cooking. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Calvert is preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Royal, Gordon, and William Brumwell and 2 sisters, Margaret Brumwell and Graceanna “Pat” Muhl. She is survived by her husband of 69 years Edwin T. Calvert, 2 sons Thomas E. Calvert and his wife Kathy of Pasadena, and Billy S. Calvert and his wife Kim of Va., 2 daughters Betty Ann Blanchard and her husband Bill of Pasadena, and Marie McKee and her husband the late Walter McKee of Pa., 7 grandchildren Jim Calvert, Christine Calvert King, Patty, and Dawn Blanchard, Victor, Jane and Anna Calvert, 4 great grandchildren Jessica and Julia Calvert, Adam and Alex King.
