Lauren Christine Morales passed away on Thursday July 8, 2021, at the age of 47.
Lauren was born on July 16, 1973. She is survived by her husband Rick and her four daughters, Sophia, Katherine, Charlotte and Sydney. Others of note in her life are her Aunt Marci, Uncle Doug and her Aunt Lucy. Lauren had rather tumultuous beginnings in life by first losing her father at the age of 10 and then losing her husband Branden Charles Morales, father of Sophia and Katherine after being married for just a few short years. She cared for her dying husband while raising her two daughters while being left to handle all of this on her own.
While beginnings were hard, estranged from her mother at 15, she was raised by her loving grandmother and put herself through school earning her bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Unfortunately, her grandmother died just months after her husband, and she was left alone again. She spoke highly of her grandmother and the travels they shared, she missed her greatly as she was her rock growing up.
Her love and passion were always caring for others, and she started volunteering at Denver Hospital and working in assisted living communities.
She was loved by everyone she met, generous almost to a fault and gifted with a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. She always reached out to help those in need. Always what we called, “picking up strays”, being an animal or person. Lauren loved family and even though she lost many at a young age and was abandoned by others, she always built family with her friends and the few family that stayed loyal to her. She was looking at getting closer to Rick’s family, but unfortunately her health and the pandemic took that away.
She will be sorely missed by her loving husband, family, friends and associates in the healthcare industry, but she is out of pain and at peace with our Lord.
