After a short illness, Laura Jean Wetzel, 51 years of age, passed away on May 3, 2004. Laura was born on June 24, 1952 in Midland, Texas, and is survived by her parents, Frank Harry and Ramona Schneider Wetzel; Sisters, Karen Wetzel and Anita Zurrel; Two Nieces; Two Great Nieces; Five Great Nephews; Aunts, Martha Wetzel of Fairlawn, New Jersey and Jackie Dempsey of Duncanville, Texas; Numerous cousins from New York and Texas. Laura attended the American School of Paris in France for four years, and then graduated from Fox Lane High School in Mt. Kisco, New York. She also attended Endicott College in Boston, MA. After returning to Texas, she worked at Motorola. In 1978, she suffered a severe head injury, as the result of a car accident, which dramatically changed her life. Her generous and kind heart will be missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to thank the staffs at Kendall County MHMR in Boerne and Serenity Gardens in Kerrville for their commitment and kindness to Laura.
