Laura Mealease Fentress, 84, of Chattanooga passes away January 18, 2007 in a local health care center due to an illness. A native of Nashville, Mrs. Fentress moved to Chattanooga ten years ago. She was a member of the Avondale congregation of Jehovah’s Witness. She was preceded in death by her parents, R. E. and Effie Stanton; her husband, Otis Fentress and her son, Otis L. Fentress Jr.; two sisters, four brothers. a grandson and a great-grandson. Survivors are her daughters, Carol Jude and husband, Roosevelt of Chattanooga and Thelma McHollin, Nashville; sister, Alice Cliffe, Nashville; nine grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, two nieces and seven nephews and a host of loving friends.
