Mrs. Laura Faye Overstreet Reid, 84, died Friday, January 17, 2020, at her home in Oxford, MS..M. at St.. John Kramer officiating…M. at the church. Born in Paris, MS to the late Corinne Palmer and William Edgar Overstreet, Mrs. Reid was the widow of Mr. Joseph Carl Reid. She was a longtime member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and the beloved Alpha Omicron Pi housemother for 23 years. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Jo Joseph and a son, Joseph Keith Reid.Survivors include three sons, William Mark Reid of Virginia Beach, VA, Steve Reid and his wife, Melissa of Olive Branch, MS and Patrick Reid of Virginia Beach, VA; one sister, Betty Gresham of Oxford; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.. Reid’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
