Laura Ann Zick-Schneeberger

Age 56 of Pepper Pike Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, February 24th with her loving husband by her side. Laura was born in Maple Heights, Ohio on November 30, 1966 to the late Henry (Hank) and Antoinette (Toni) Zick (nee Martinis).

Beloved wife of Lou Schneeberger for 28 years; loving sister to Jacqueline (Jackie) Ritter (Shon) and Tara Zick-Reeves (Greg), loving stepmother to Bryanne Myers (Corey), Adam Schneeberger (Alicia) and Robert Baker (Chelsea), loving aunt, favorite person and travel buddy to Victoria (Tori) Semon and Jessica Ritter-Johnson (Michael). Dear Nana to Mariana and John Myers, and Cora and Landon Baker.

Laura was a graduate of Maple Heights High School (’84) and Baldwin Wallace College (’89). She began her career at National City Bank in Cleveland, Ohio while in high school and continued through her college career and into a management program. She later joined her husband at Olympic Steel, Inc. where she spent the over three decades working closely with Michael Siegal (Chairman & Retired CEO), her very dear friend, and the rest of Olympics’ executive leadership team.

Laura’s zest for life and contagious positive demeanor made her a fast and close friend to many. She brightened a room whenever she entered and was ready to take charge while sharing her boundless energy with others. She was quick to lend a helping hand, to offer her time volunteering for many charities and was the rock and ever faithful caregiver to her entire family.

All of Laura’s warm and caring personal traits afforded her a rich life full of many close friends. She gathered friends through all aspects of her life, from her career to her personal relationships with her husband. Her dear friends, including Miranda Creel, Kathy Jennings, Stu and Sally Neidus, Rich and Betsy Stovsky and a very large group of others will forever be grateful for having their lives touched by Laura.

She woke up every day with a big beautiful smile on her face and at generally 15,000 steps later she would end her day with the same smile and a happy heart.
