Larry V. Sherry, 79, of Mulberry, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022, surrounded by his family, at IU Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette.

He was born January 29, 1943, in Lafayette, to the late Glenn and Gladys (Maxwell) Sherry and was raised in Pettit.

Larry was 1961 graduate of East Tipp High School, where he was a member of FFA and played basketball. He also attended Purdue University.

On January 28, 1984, he married his soul mate and love of his life, Carolyn (Little) Koning in Lafayette and she survives.

Larry was a brick mason with BAC Local #4 IN/KY for over 40 years and retired in 2009.  In 1970 he worked on the Castle at Disney World while living in Kissemee, FL.  He returned to Indiana and worked on many high schools, Ivy Tech and the Bell Tower at Purdue.   He also worked at Area IV Council on Aging doing repairs and insulation of houses.

He enjoyed his Alis Chalmers and New Holland tractors, gardening, antique cars shows, concerts, building houses and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was able to see all of the grandchildren graduate from high school and college.  He also enjoyed having bon-fires, being envolved in womens softball, hay rides with family and was known for his home made ice cream.

Surviving along with his wife are his children Angela Romack, Kevin (Tammi) Sherry, Vanessa Sherry, stepchildren Scott (Carol) Koning, Laura (Bruce) Switzer, Dawn (Eric Abston) Fossnock, 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  Also surviving are his brothers Max Sherry and Steve (Linda) Sherry.  Larry was preceded in death by his brothers Vernon and Miles Sherry.

The family would like to send a special thank you to IU Hospital and staff for such a comforting job and support that they have shown the family.
