Larry Richard Lambert, Sr., 76, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

Mr. Lambert was born October 19, 1944, in Mooresville, North Carolina to the late Neta Lambert.

He was preceded in death by wife, Nancy Brannen Lambert, granddaughter, Kaylee Elizabeth Goodman, and brother, Wayne.

Survivors include daughter, Teresa Lambert Poore (Lamar) of Harmony, NC; son, Larry Richard “Ricky” Lambert, Jr., of Concord, NC; daughter, Tina Lambert Parris (Todd) of Newton, NC; grandchildren Kelsi Bova (Daniel), Lacey Poore, Hayden Poore, Skylar Poore, Ashley Peterson, Joshua Lambert, Kristen Crane (Jay); great-grandchildren Akele, Nolan, and Knight; many dear nieces and nephews; and their beloved dog, Nike.

Larry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had the best sense of humor and a story for everything.

Larry had his first job at age nine setting up pins at the bowling alley; that work ethic stayed with him for life. He always put the needs of others above his own. He loved to mow his lawn and those of his friends and neighbors. He enjoyed conversations (and debates) on politics, playing golf games on the computer, and when his wife, Nancy, would ask him to do something, he would always reply, “Just a minute, I’m on a timer!” Larry loved the Lord and enjoyed sharing his testimony with those around him.

Larry and Nancy were happily married for 58 years, and had the honor of passing into heaven on the same day, Larry having held Nancy’s hand in her last moments.
