Larry James Carr, 75, of Anderson, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 22, 2017 at I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on August 22, 1942 in Anderson, IN and resided most of his life in Anderson.

Larry graduated from Anderson High School, Class of 1960. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Diamond Chain in Indianapolis, where he worked as a tool & die maker. He attended South Meridian Church of God, where he was active in the share groups, and he was a part of Stephen Ministry. He was an avid reader and enjoyed WWII War Planes.

Larry is survived by his loving wife whom he married June 20, 1981, Sylvia (Ferguson) Carr of Anderson; two sons, Larry Jay (Susan) Carr of Huntington, and Perry Lewis (Donna) Carr of Jefferson, SC; two step-daughters, Jill (Kent) Modlin of Corning, AR, and Joy (Micah) Mitchell of Anderson; two brothers, Charles (Linda) Carr of Sumter, SC, and Tom (Mary) Carr of Anderson; two grandchildren, Kayleigh Carr, and Tiler Carr; five step-grandchildren, Nicholas (Jennifer) Modlin, Benjamin (Alexis) Modlin, Jacob Modlin (Fiancee Brittany Corder), Joshua Derrickson, and Aaron Mitchell; eight step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by father, Perry Edwards Carr; mother, Alice Rose Carr; sister, Lois Fenwick.
