Larry J. Wyrick Sr., age 72, of Kempton, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at IU Health Tipton Hospital.

Larry was born in Kokomo, IN on July 8, 1947 to John & Nellie (Shuck) Wyrick.  He married Loa Nguyen on October 13, 1969.  They shared 50 wonderful years of marriage; she survives.

Larry was a 1966 graduate of Tipton High School.  He was a proud member of United States Army from 1966-1973, serving in the Vietnam War.  Larry worked at IU Health Tipton Hospital for 40 years before retiring.  He was a member of the American Legion.

Larry was a very hard worker, something his family was very proud of him for.  He passed his hard work ethic on to his children, a trait they proudly carry on.  Larry was very handy and loved to work on old Bolens tractors.  He had a barn full of them and would spend hours tinkering away.  He enjoyed old cars and semis.  He loved to listen to country music and would always have WWKI playing when he was in the barn.  Larry loved to be outside; he enjoyed fishing, camping with friends, gardening, and chopping wood.  He loved to travel and often talked about the places he and Loa might go after retirement.

Larry was a very loving husband and father. He was a very kind man, always had a smile for everyone he passed by.  His sweet spirit will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

Those left to carry on Larry’s legacy of love are his Wife Loa Wyrick; Daughter Mary Lynn Wyrick; Son Larry Wyrick Jr.; Granddaughter Elizabeth; Great-Granddaughter Amber; Brothers Don Wyrick and Dave (Carlita) Wyrick; and Sister Jo Nell (Louie) Hellmann.
