Larry Burdick went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2015. He was born in Fort Collins on December 3, 1951 and was raised in Las Animas with his mother, Emma, father, Gene and twin brother, Gary Burdick. Larry served in the U.S Army during the Vietnam War. When he returned, he moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming, where he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. In 1984, he met Teresa, with whom he spent the remaining years of his life. His hobbies were building and riding motorcycles, camping, fishing, and hunting with his family. He survived by his wife of 31 years; his children, Dakota, Odyesty, Travis, of Canon City; Donnie and Lori of Las Animas; brother, Gary, and wife, Kim, their family; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family in Oregon.
