Larry Dale Rose was born in 1943, in what is now Peoria, AZ. This was back in the day when there was
nothing around for miles and his family had a homestead in the ‘wild desert of Arizona’. He grew up on
the homestead, then started his adult life in the world of motorcycles. He not only worked on them, but
raced flat track as well. Eventually he changed course and started flying crop dusters, only to buy and
build what is now Ross and Imperial Flying Service in Imperial, CA. He married Patricia in 1966, and
moved to Yuma, AZ where their son, Dale, was born. They then moved to Imperial, CA and had their
daughter, Kallie. Larry was gifted with a talent to play many different musical instruments, and looked
forward to sitting down for ‘a few tunes’ with any of his music buddies, sometimes traveling just to play
with ‘the band’. Larry was successful at most things he set out to do – racing motorcycles, flying
airplanes, music, as well as building businesses and investments. His life journey eventually took him
back to the Yuma area. This journey ended on July 1 st , surrounded by his family. He is survived by his
wife, Patricia, his son Dale (daughter-in-law Michelle) and daughter Kallie (son-in-law Rohit), his three
grandsons, Andrew, Patrick and Oliver, and his great-grand daughter Maible, along with many nieces
and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Fern Rose, and his three sisters,
Jaqueline, Jane, and Kathie.
Palliative Care and Hospice. They helped make Larry’s last few months on this earth as peaceful and
painless as could be.
