Larry D. Brody, 77, of Newton died on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Accura Healthcare of Newton West.
Larry, the son of Clifford and Gertie (Molendorp) Brody, was born on February 27, 1940 in Sibley. He grew up in Sibley and graduated from Sibley High School in 1958. Larry then went on to receive his B.A. in Education and Physical Education from Westmar College in LeMars. On December 28, 1960, Larry was united in marriage with Judy Morford in Bristow. After living in Peterson briefly, Larry began his teaching career in Forest City, where he stayed for four years.
Those left to honor Larry’s memory are his wife, Judy Brody of Newton, children, Steven (Donna) Brody of Clive and Cynthia Brody of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Collin and Hannah; sister-in-law, Martha Brody; and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marlys Breuer; and brother, Roger Brody.
