Larry Clarence Griffith, 66, of Walnut St., Clarksburg, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born March 2, 1945 in Clarksburg the son of the late Earie Griffith and Sylvia Hashman Griffith. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Lorena Gear Griffith. In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter; Laurie Ice of Clarksburg; two grandchildren; Derek Ice and Ruben Stutler; three brothers; Earie Bud Griffith, his twin Gary Griffith and Michael Griffith; one special nephew who helped care for him Rick Quickle and his Hospice Nurse Maureen. He was preceded in death by an infant brother Hezzie Griffith; one granddaughter Kali Nichole Welch and one sister Yvonne Quickle. Mr. Griffith worked on billboards for Standard Advertising. Larry never knew a stranger; he loved getting out talking to people, going to flea markets and yard sales. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. His daughter Laurie was privileged to spend the last few months of his life caring for him.
