Larry James Beverly was born to the late Lawrence Beverly and Mary Lee Hamilton Beverly on February 17, 1956. He was the second child of seven siblings. He attended Armstrong Elementary and Rayne High School for a little while before he moved to Texas at the age of 16. He eventually got his G.E.D. Larry did cement work with Hanson for years until his health declined. He had his ways just like everyone else, but he was a big Teddy Bear and a loving father and paw-paw! He loved his family very dearly and was very crazy about his grandkids, especially his oldest grandson, “The Big Tall Basketball Player”.
Larry James Beverly leaves to cherish his daughter, Keisha (Kelvin) James of Houston, TX. His stepdaughters Tasha Marshall of Florida, Quitta Marshall of Houston, TX, three sisters, Martha (Wilbert) Mayfield of Crowley, LA, Sandra Mason of Houston, TX, and Jacqueline Hamilton of Moncks, Corner, SC, three brothers, Darrel (Sandra) Freeman of Crowley, LA, Kenneth (Ravin) Beverly of Rayne, LA, and Nathaniel Beverly of Houston, TX, his stepmom Leotha Beverly, one step sister, Shelia Lyons, two step brothers, Frank (Brenda) Montgomery, Jesse (Cindy) Montgomery, two aunties Ethel (Ernest) Augustus, and Lillie Dugas, his godfather Luke Malbrough, four grandkids Markel, Madison, Maverick and Mathan, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Larry James Beverly was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Beverly and Mary Lee Hamilton Beverly, his beloved wife Carla Marie Beverly, his grandson Matthew Jordan James, and his brother Lawrence “Stoney” Beverly.
