Larraine F. Cress, 85, of Brighton, Michigan passed away May 11, 2014. She was born December 14, 1928 in South Bend, Indiana to Louis M. Kiska & Dorothy Kaminski.
On September 9, 1950 in Holy Cross Catholic Church in South Bend, Larraine married Ronald C. Cress who survives. Surviving with her husband of 63 years are daughters, Karen (David) Trzcinski of Howell, Michigan, Carla (Bruce) Panuska of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a son, William (Laura) Cress of Newport News, Virginia; grandsons, Edward & Philip Siefker, Joseph & Matthew Trzcinski; and a brother Gregory (Deborah) Kiska of South Bend, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy (Al) DeRuyck and Mary Ann Kiska and her brother James (Linda) Kiska.
Larraine taught special education in the Lincoln Park Public Schools for 15 years, retiring in 1986. She graduated from South Bend Central Catholic High School in 1947; received an Associates Degree from School Craft College; then a Bachelor of Science Degree & Masters Degree from Wayne State University.
Larraine was a talented artist, drawing in pen, ink, & water color. She had exhibited works in a number of juried shows in Michigan. She was a loving wife & mother that was very proud of her family.
