BRIGHAM CITY – LaNea Jensen Andersen 94 passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 surrounded by her family.
LaNea was born on October 11, 1921 in Paris, ID a daughter of Ethel Findlay and Lars William Jensen.
She grew up in Paris, Idaho and graduated from Fielding High School; in her youth she was Miss Bear Lake.
LaNea married her sweetheart DeWin Wilford Andersen on November 7, 1941 in Paris, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. She had a love for her Heavenly Father and her Savior and found great joy in serving others.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. LaNea served in the Primary and Relief Society. She was proud to send her four young sons on missions.
She was a Hospital volunteer at the Brigham City Hospital. LaNea took great pride in raising her family and continued that legacy with her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping with her husband while their children were young. While DeWin was in the Army she raised her two oldest children. LaNea loved spending time with her family at Bear Lake. She was proud of all her grandchildren and celebrated with them in their accomplishments.
Surviving are her children: Gary W. (Linda) Andersen; Donniel J. (Mary Ann) Andersen; Brent C. (Jamie) Andersen; Bruce K. (Heidi Ann) Andersen; and Jana Loye (Joseph David) Willes; 26 grandchildren and 82 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
Preceded in death by her husband DeWin, brothers: Donniel Jensen, DuWayne Jensen, Blake Jensen and sister Loye Patterson.
